Focussed, uncompromising engineering

A combination of experience, good engineering practice and advanced analytical techniques were applied to design what described in their First Ride review as “a machine which only has one speed setting – fast.”

The engineering objective for Zondag was simple, to design the most effective cyclocross race tool for the serious competitor aiming for top honours. The main design priorities were:

  • a stiff platform as a basis for effective power transfer as well as precise, stable and responsive handling

  • rider ergonomics

  • mud clearance

  • a strong, resilient, yet lightweight frame suited to the rough and tumble of cyclocross

Designed for racing around a cyclocross circuit.

Following a clean-sheet approach, no aspect has been taken as given - every detail has been considered with the singular purpose of engineering a bicycle for racing.

The geometry is classical European, quick and responsive.  This translates into a fast, effective race bike engineered to be raced.
