Criterium is like espresso – short, sharp, intense - and we love it.

Donder is designed specifically for the

singular purpose of criterium and short-format road racing.  Responsiveness and precision are essential and there is no room for compromise.

This single-minded approach is evident in every detail of the design.  The result is pure crit bike: Lively and aggressive.

Prioritised for the circuit

The objective for Donder was simple - to engineer a focussed criterium machine for the serious competitor aiming for top honours.  We wanted a frame that would provide not only effective power transfer, but also crucially precise and stable cornering.  We also wanted a resilient, yet lightweight frame suited to the rigours of criterium and short-format road racing.

These priorities defined the design process and led to the concious selection of features like the scandium-aluminium alloy tubes-set and oversized 44mm head tube.

"The Donder is at its best when a lot of action is required – when you want to ping yourself through a bend, accelerate hard, manoeuvre around other riders… When you need to do stuff! It is designed as a criterium race bike and that’s exactly how it handles. It’s a blast if that’s what you’re after."    -, July 2014
